Digital GameGame Based Learning Activities
See the construction of the Forth Bridge come to life in our unique downloadable game-based learning activities.
These were created to match the Scottish schools social studies curriculum by the Centre for Digital Documentation and Visualisation LLP (a partnership between Historic Environment Scotland and The Glasgow School of Art), with the assistance of a digital learning consultant.
They form part of a package of educational resources created by Scottish digital heritage experts, also including design and coding resources, a location-based app, real-time interactive models for virtual headset tours and video fly-throughs all aimed at developing STEM skills among pupils in Scottish schools.
They use data gathered by the Forth Bridges laser scanning project, one of the most challenging and complex 3D digital documentation projects undertaken anywhere in the world.
