Ferry Fair Festival

Ferry Fair Highlights

Ferry Fair Week (4-10 August) lasts a whole week, building up to a vehicle and walking parade around Queensferry and crowning ceremony for the Ferry Fair Queen on Saturday afternoon. Flags go up along the High Street and shops are decorated, bring a real festival feel to Queensferry.

Ferry Fair Friday (9 August) starts early with The Burryman starting his walk from The Staghead Hotel and touring the burgh before returning at 6.00 pm.

Ferry Fair Day (10 August) is the most exciting day of the year for a lot of local children (and adults!). This is the day that all the children in the Court get dressed up and take part in the Tour of the Burgh before the Main Procession takes us along the High Street for the formal crowning of the Ferry Fair Queen by our Gracious Person.
