Evening Bat Walk
Beveridge Park, Kirkaldy
Join naturalist Tony Wilson on an evening walk to discover the bats that live around Beveridge Park. A ‘bat detector’ device will allow you to listen in on their world.
The 2-mile (max) walk will take around 2 hours, and be on mainly flat surfaces: tarmac, pavement and path. Suitable for all ages (children must be accompanied).

Fife Coastal Path
North Queensferry to Burntisland
This 18.5km stretch of the coastal path starts at North Queensferry and winds through coastal stretches and settlements, including the delightful town of Aberdour, before finishing at the seaside resort of Burntisland. Big Day Oot Bike Ride
Buckhaven
A leisurely bike ride to celebrate climate-friendly travel as part of the Fife Climate Festival. This ride will take you past Leven train station and onto Silverburn Park. You’ll visit the Big Day Oot where there will be a variety of fun activities for the whole family. If you wish to end the ride here you can, or you can return with the group to Buckhaven via the Leven train station.

Beach Clean
Ravenscraig, Kirkaldy
Join the Marine Conservation Society's Great British Beach clean. Unlike other beach cleans, the litter collected will be surveyed and the data will be shared with the International Coastal Clean-up (ICC) contributing to a worldwide report on litter levels.
The beach clean will take place from 3-4pm on 28th September and needs 200 volunteers. Sign up at the Marine Conservation Society website.
Alfred Dunhill Links Golf Championship
St Andrews
The only professional championship to be played annually over the historic Old Course at St Andrews, alongside the Championship Course at Carnoustie and 'modern classic', Kingsbarns.
There’s free entry on Thursday 3rd, Friday 4th and Saturday 5th October at all three venues (tickets aren’t required).
