Open to buses, taxis, and motorcycles up to 125cc. East footpath open to cyclists and pedestrians. West footpath closed for essential maintenance.

The Forth Bridge was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage
Site in July 2015 and UNESCO World Heritage Sites maintain a
Management Plan. The Management Plan for the Forth Bridge is now 10 years old and is being reviewed and updated.
In June 2025 we asked your opinions about what should be in the in the draft Plan. Now, we'd like your feedback on the draft Plan. There are two documents with links below: the Plan and its Appendices.

You can have your say on the draft Plan through an online questionnaire. This is being hosted by Fife Council, but is open to anyone to complete.
People are encouraged to give feedback on the draft plan by completing an online questionnaire by 31 March 2026 at: www.fife.gov.uk/forthbridge
There was a public meeting and local drop-in sessions in January 2026.
