Access RestrictionsA family enterprise, Cragies Farm Shop makes for a nice stop on the route between the bridges and Edinburgh.
The shop opened in 1988 as a table in a converted barn. It has grown over the years to become one of Scotland's leading farm shop destinations and now boasts a café, pick your own and Little Farmers – an adventure farm park for children.
The farm shop deli stocks a delicious range of local and home-grown produce including meat from TVs ‘The Buffalo Farmer’, family recipe jam and chutney, freshly baked bread, homemade oven-ready meals, craft beers and artisan gins.
During the summer and autumn, you can pick your own – always a favourite with the kids. Depending on what’s in season, choose from strawberries, raspberries, blackcurrants, kale, peas, beans, pumpkins, apples, and even sunflowers.
The café offers good coffee, strong tea and fresh seasonal food. It caters for vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diets. Think filling breakfasts, hearty lunches and scrumptious cakes!
The real gem of this farm is the newly opened Little Farmers. Children can let off some steam in the big indoor play barn before enjoying petting and feeding the animals. There’s also an outdoor yard for sand and water play.
