The aims and work of the Forum were restated, followed by operational updates from BEAR Scotland on the Forth Road Bridge and Queensferry Crossing, and Network Rail on the Forth Bridge.
The Forth Bridge World Heritage Draft Management Plan was covered in some detail.
Historic Environment Scotland introduced the background to the World Heritage nomination in 2015 and the subsequent UNESCO Periodic Reporting in 2023.
Details were shared on the 2025 process of updating the Management Plan and the organisations involved. A key area to note was the results of the pre-draft engagement on the Management Plan from June 2025.
The Forth Bridge World Heritage Site is protected through numerous aspects of the Planning policies, guidance and monitored view-cones and these were outlined.
The factors affecting the maintenance and preservation of the Bridge were covered, including climate and risk preparedness.
The Action Plan and current consultation concluded the formal presentations, followed by a Question and Answer session.
The presentation from the evening is available to review here
